الاهمية العقائدية للنص :
لا نعتقد ان لها اهمية عقائدية إلا ان جملة ( يقترب الى هذا الشعب بفمه ) بطبيعة الحال تغنى عنها الجملة التى تتبعها (ويكرمني بشفتيه ) و لذلك إذا حذفت الجملة الاولى يتبقى المعنى كما هو إذا فالجملة ليس لها داعى لها .

And, after this, wishing to refute completely from the words of the prophets all these traditions of the elders among the Jews, He brought before them a saying, from Isaiah, which in the exact words is as follows: “And the Lord said, This people draws nigh to Me with their mouth,” etc.; and, as we said before, Matthew has not written out the prophetical saying in the very words.

وبمقارنة النبوة في اشعياء
سفر إشعياء 29: 13

فَقَالَ السَّيِّدُ: «لأَنَّ هذَا الشَّعْبَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ إِلَيَّ بِفَمِهِ وَأَكْرَمَنِي بِشَفَتَيْهِ، وَأَمَّا قَلْبُهُ فَأَبْعَدَهُ عَنِّي، وَصَارَتْ مَخَافَتُهُمْ مِنِّي وَصِيَّةَ النَّاسِ مُعَلَّمَةً. |
اشعياء يقول النبوه بصيغة الماضي لتاكيد حدوثها قريبا ولكن في بشارة متي يقولها بصيغة المضارع فلو كانت منقوله من اشعياء لكان ذكرها البشير متي بصيغة الماضي
فوجودها بصيغة المضارع ده انها غير منقولة من اشعياء
ولكن الجزء الثاني من العدد اسهل حفظا ولذلك نجد البعض من النساخ ذكر الجزء الثاني فقط
اخيرا المعني الروحي

مراؤون، حسنًا تنبّأ عنكم إشعياء، قائلاً:
يقترب إليّ هذا الشعب بفمه ويُكرمني بشفتيْه،
وأما قلبه فمبتعد عنّي بعيدًا.
وباطلاً يعبدونني وهم يعلمون تعاليم هي وصايا الناس" [7-9].
يدعوهم مرائين لأنهم يَظهرون كمُدافعين عن الحق وهم كاسِروه، يحملون صورة الغيرة على مجد الله وهم يهتمّون بما لذواتهم. يتقدّمون كمعلّمين وهم عميان في حاجة إلى من يعلّمهم. وكما يقول القدّيس يوحنا الذهبي الفم: [إن كان يُحسب أمرًا خطيرًا ألا يكون للأعمى قائد (يرشده)، فكم بالأكثر إن أراد الأعمى أن يقود غيره[616]!]
احتلّ الكتبة والفرّيسيّون الصفوف الأولى بين المتعبّدين، أمّا قلوبهم فلم يكن لها موضع قط بل هي مبتعدة عن الله بعيدًا، يعبدون الله ليس عن حب، وإنما لتحقيق أهداف بشريّة ذاتيّة، فصارت تعاليمهم "وصايا الناس".
يُعلّق القدّيس غريغوريوس أسقف نيصص على كلمات السيّد هذه معلنًا اهتمام الله بالقلب نفسه، أكثر ممّا بكلمات العبادة أو العمل الظاهر. [ماذا يعني هذا؟ إن الاتّجاه السليم للنفس نحو الحق لهو أثمن في عينيّ الله من العبادات، فإن الله يسمع تنهُّدات القلب التي لا يُنطق بها[617]،] أي يريد الله نقاوة القلب الداخليّة أثناء العبادة لا المظهر الخارجي. ويقول الآب يوحنا من كرونستادت: [يلزم أن تكون صلاتنا عميقة وصادقة وحكيمة ومثمرة، تُغيّر قلبنا وتوجِّه إرادتنا للصلاح وتسحبنا من الشرّ[618].]
